Ms. Aye Myat Thu, Managing Director of International Legal and Policy Consulting (ILPC), attended the 7th International Group Conference for P&I Correspondents at the International Maritime Organization (IMO) headquarters in London.
Organised by the International Group of P&I Clubs, the event took place from 29 September to 1 October 2026 and brought together P&I correspondents, Club representatives and maritime professionals from around the world.
The conference provided an opportunity to exchange views on practical matters affecting the maritime and marine insurance sectors. The programme covered issues including maritime incidents, claims, pollution and operational challenges, highlighting the importance of cooperation between P&I Clubs and their local correspondents.
For Ms. Aye Myat Thu, it was also a welcome opportunity to reconnect with colleagues, meet other professionals and share experiences with members of the global P&I community.
ILPC values the relationships and knowledge gained through such gatherings, which contribute to a better understanding of the practical challenges faced by the international shipping industry.
